Short Pump explodes with dancing, singing, food and fun on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Stratford University First Annual Food and Culture Festival. It’s all to recognize and celebrate international cuisine with approximately 30 vendors from areas including Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Thailand, India, Russia, Turkey, El Salvador, France, and other countries and regions.
This event is gearing up to be a spectacular time in Short Pump with lots of family-friendly fun. It offers lots of international activities, food and entertainment for children and adults.
The Children’s Corner will feature arts, crafts, face painting, henna tattoos, fire truck/police car tours, a moon bounce, and more. The Children’s Museum of Richmond will be there with fun for the entire family. There will also be jewelers, artists and other local market vendors.
The Richmond area’s most colorful and eclectic vendors will bring Brazilian martial arts, Pad Thai, and lots of other fun activities for everyone to enjoy.
Some of the local food vendors include India K’Raja, Vietnam Garden, Elephant Thai Restaurant, Deluca Gelato, Ginos Pizza, and many others.
Downtown Short Pump is partnering with Stratford University’s Culinary Arts School to present this incredibly fun event. Admission is free and entrees range in price from $3 – $5, making it very affordable.There will also be plenty of fun treats and sweets for all ages.
The event will be held at Stratford University’s Short Pump Campus at 11104 West Broad Street in the Thalhimer Center.
