Nordstrom Employee Arrested on Felony Embezzlement Charges

A store employee at Nordstrom at Short Pump Town Center has been arrested on charges of embezzling funds from the store. 56-year-old Richard S. Reynolds IV, great grandson of the founder of Reynolds Metals, Inc., was released on $1,500 bond Thursday.

The single count of embezzlement came after a months-long investigation that began in February when Nordstrom management took notice that someone was taking money from the store.

The amount of money embezzled wasn’t available at press time, but exceeds $200, making the charge a felony offense.

Reynolds will attend a court hearing in December.
